WHO IS STAGESOURCE?Founded in 1985, StageSource was created as an actors’ alliance, focused on creating employment opportunities and a network of resources for theater artists in the Greater Boston Area. Over time, StageSource expanded its programming focus—first to included theater artists of all disciplines, then to support theatrical organizations and finally, to expand our scope to all six New England states. WHY STAGESOURCE?OUR SECRET SAUCEWe are working artists with deep connections and understanding of the unique needs and challenges of the New England theatre sector. We are hands-on problem solvers, conveners, and facilitators. OUR CODE OF CONDUCTWe hold ourselves, our members, and everyone in our spaces to the following standards:
We strive to increase cultural participation for all—dismantling barriers and conducting interrogations of our work, embracing difficult questions that may make us uncomfortable—with a focus on empathy, kindness, and inextinguishable joy. We endeavor to hold each other accountable in all spaces—trusting intent while naming impact, recognizing our personal and institutional privilege, respectfully acknowledging pushback, admitting when we are wrong, calling-in those with differing views. Doing so allows us to move forward thoughtfully, with a focus on reflection and growth.
